JOHN MORAN / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER:
John is owner and President of a marketing and promotions firm, Blue Wave. With a background in art and science, John graduated with a B.S. in Optics from the University of Rochester and is currently earning his MBA from Boston University. Through the 1990's, John produced a line of surfing apparel, "John & Icky's", where his company sponsored the Eastern Surfing Association. In 1995, John produced his first surf film, "Flail", with partners John Lynch and Dave Genchi. Since then, John's film credits include: "You Flail Too" (1998); "Through the Eye" (2000); "Eric Royer's One Man Band" (2001); "Librium" (2003); and his current film project, "Change the Subject".

JOHN LYNCH / PRODUCER,DIRECTOR,CINEMATOGRAPHER:
With a still photography background and a passion for surfing and travel, John Lynch spent his early 20’s making the surf films “Flail”, “Through the Eye” and “Librium”, working in every format from Video to super 8 and 16mm film. He’s also produced and directed a few short films, and some work that has appeared on PBS and VH1. John finds music and culture an inspiration for concepts and ideas that he transforms to film through cinematography, editing and direction. |

THEO BESSIN / PRODUCER, CINEMATOGRAPHER
With an interest in exploring the world and a passion for nature, Theo became involved in film after an extended trip through the South Pacific. Drawing inspiration from distant cultures and travelling characters, he felt compelled to share his experiences through the visual medium. Theo believes that film is the perfect tool to portray the feeling and excitement of traveling. With a background in design, Theo co-produced the surf film “Change the Subject” and plans to pursue more projects in the 16mm and digital format. |

MATT KLEINER / EDITOR, CREATIVE DIRECTION, SOUNDTRACK SELECTION
After spending a few months in Hawaii filming Matt began editing and developing his unique style of artistic cuts and abstract perspectives. With a grip on the underground music scene Matt has always provided a new angle on his sound track selection. With “change the subject” he was able to show case wide variety of fresh tracks tightly choreographed with the world’s best surfing. Matt has been able to master an array of editing techniques allowing him to stay one step ahead. |

RYAN KLEINER / ART DIRECTOR: Ryan has a background in fine art and illustration. He merged his creativity with digital technology in 1997 and began his career as a graphic designer. After Meeting John Lynch in 2002 Ryan began designing print advertisements and a website for Lynchfilm’s movie “Librium.” Ryan was selected to art direct for the latest Four Corner Films release “Change The Subject” in 2003. Along with his Brother Matt, they began working together on creative direction under the name “ization”. |

MATTHEW SCOTT / CINEMATOGRAPHER
Matthew Scott, whose formal training was in Aquatic Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, has been actively working in media for the last 3 years. At the School of Media Arts in Santa Barbara he was awarded the honor of “Best Narrative Short” for writing and directing “Primordial Hunger,” a narrative about cannibalism in early humans. Since then he has gone on to co-produce and co-direct with documentaries and narratives in the 16mm and digital video formats. His latest work has given him the opportunity to test the waters in major motion picture production and he has hopes of attending film school at AFI or UCLA for an MFA.

ERIC IPPEL / CINEMATOGRAPHER
Eric found his passion in the water while growing up in Hawaii. It was after his first years surfing in the blue Hawaiian ocean that he recognized his talents as a competitive swimmer. Enthralled by the surf posters decorating his room, he soon realized there was a dream to be fulfilled: Combining his water skills with his passion of photography. Many years and waves later, Erik, a Brooks Institute graduate, has become one of the best water photographers and cinematographers of his time, in the surfing world. |
